The advantages of ATP biofilters

• The main advantage of using biofilters compared to other methods of air treatment are low operating costs.
  The long life of the filtering material (4 – 5 years) which, at the end of its useful life, does not involve problems or disposal costs, low energy costs and the no use of synthetic chemical substances make this type of plant ideal for the purpose.
• A biofiltration unit can be designed to fit any industrial environment. In addition, biofilters can be designed with stacked beds tominimize space requirements and multiple units can run in parallel.
• Biofiltration is aversatile technology for treating odors, toxic compounds and VOCs. The abatement efficiencies of these compounds are above 90% for low contaminant concentrations (<1000 ppm). In fact, the process is completely natural and therefore non-selective. The high reliability is proven by numerous installations.
• The different filter media, bacterial strains and operating conditions can be used to make the biofilter versatile and usable to treat air from a wide variety of processes.
